Germs Cause Pimples
What is a pimple?
Eczema is an itchy skin disease caused by inflammation and sensitive skin. Eczema is also classified as atopic disease which is a disease inherited by the family.
Characteristics of Eczema
Inflammation of the skin due to eczema makes the skin dry, red, hot and swollen. Skin protection walls become damaged and exposed. Then water from inside the skin comes out through the damaged part of the skin layer causing the skin to become dry. This is called trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). The skin also becomes itchy because the itchy nerves are exposed to the environment. Eczema itself makes the nerve itchier. Eczema patients' skin is also prone to bacterial infections due to damage to the skin's protective walls. The pH of the skin which was originally acidic (pH 4.5) turned out to be more alkaline and this caused many of the original germs of the skin to be disturbed by external germs.
